The successful candidate will also provide academic oversight and subject matter leadership for curriculum and course content within their area, and participate actively in the ongoing development, administration, student support, and academic life activities of the School, including on-campus participation in meetings and events as applicable. Even though the teaching responsibilities are remote, the candidate is expected to attend campus regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"about-the-academic-unit\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the Academic Unit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Accredited by AACSB, the Sprott School of Business is a full-service business faculty comprising multiple degree programs from undergraduate, professional graduate, and graduate research programs. Candidates holding a business- related master\u2019s degree, combined with significant online teaching and professional work experience, may be considered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate teaching excellence or strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions, particularly in the development and delivery of fully online (synchronous and asynchronous) graduate courses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Show evidence of, or strong potential for, meaningful service contributions, including committee work, curriculum development, student support, and participation in the academic life of the Unit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate experience and\/or potential in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion within the discipline and across the university community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">The following are considered assets:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience teaching and developing courses at the post-secondary level in fully online, synchronous and\/or asynchronous environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Several years of scholarly or professional experience in business analytics or related areas, including experience with tools and platforms for data preparation, analysis, visualization, and automation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Several years of scholarly or professional experience in management, leadership or human resource management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"application-instructions\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications must be sent electronically as a single PDF document to <a href=\"mailto:hiring@sprott.carleton.ca\">hiring@sprott.carleton.ca<\/a>.&nbsp;<br><br>The application package must include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A cover letter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A curriculum vitae.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A record of teaching experience and effectiveness, if applicable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Up to two work samples demonstrating online teaching or course development, if applicable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A statement that identifies your strengths and\/or experience in advancing equity, diversity and inclusion in your teaching, service, and\/or scholarly activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, applications should include the names and contact information of three references.
