Email:AdrienneLittle@cmail.carleton.ca

Adrienne is currently in their fourth year of their Bachelor of Health Science, with a concentration in Biomedical Science, and a minor in American Sign Language. During their first year of university, Adrienne developed a special interest in health equity, specifically in Indigenous and marginalized communities. One aspect of health equity which is of a particular interest, is the accessibility of mental health supports offered for non-native English speakers. Having grown up in bilingual New Brunswick, they were always afforded the opportunity to access services in French or English. When they arrived in Ottawa, however, they were troubled to see the disparity among services offered to non-native English speakers.

Their personal and academic history has led them to the Spatial Determinants of Health Lab as a research intern, focusing on mental health service accessibility for rural eastern Franco-Ontarians.
