Eli is a current undergraduate student in Carleton’s Bachelor of Health Sciences Honours program, with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences. Previously a volunteer at a rural long-term care facility in his home town of Shoal Lake, Manitoba, Eli developed a passion and an appreciation for rural health and health care first hand, and his interest in the raw sciences has spawned his strong enthusiasm for the quantification of evidence. His time working for the former Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council as a summer student assisting in their data department has also informed his interests in data. Currently, he is a research assistant supporting various projects in the Spatial Determinants of Health Lab with data and statistical needs, along with the development of a rural eHealth evidence platform.

When not pursuing his work and study in the sciences, Eli is a long-time avid musician who has and continues to support numerous local projects on the bass.
