I am a demographer; I am currently researching in the project Evaluating inequalities in cause-related mortality using multiple causes of death with Professor Paul Peters.
I obtained the Master and the PhD from the Centro de Desenvolvimento e Planejamento Regional at Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Brazil. I have a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Havana (Cuba).
In the last six years, I have been engaged in a variety of projects that encompasses the study of population dynamics. I have researched on demographic data validation, indirect techniques of demographic estimation, decomposition of variables, and projection by the cohort-component method.
