<\/p>\nIn the early stages of the Digital Pedagogy Project, we surveyed our ten project partners to understand the role Open Access materials and Multimedia resources have in their upcoming course pilots. Our pilot partners are representative of a range of different departments and roles across Carleton University. From instructors to professors, librarians to support staff, each participant is designing an open-access (OA) course module tailored to meet the needs of that particular subject area. Taking their expertise in multimedia formats and furthering their exploration of new technological formats, the project\u2019s participants are developing open access materials to be openly shared and accessed. Throughout the 2023-2024 academic year, courses with open access and multimedia materials are being piloted in classes taken by undergraduate and graduate students. <\/p>\n
One of the main goals of the Digital Pedagogy Project is the formation of a teaching community interested in OA here at Carleton University. To reach this goal, we have turned to ten different instructors across the university to launch a pilot project in a class that has the objective of developing an open access educational resource for that course or field of study. Throughout this process, the Digital Pedagogy Project is facilitating workshops, meetings, and collaboration between the instructors to develop their OA module and a community of practice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
