On May 30, 2018 we attended the second annual Life Sciences Day in Richcraft Hall (formerly River Building) to share CUDRG\u2019s past, present and ongoing research.<\/p>\n

Similar to last year, we displayed the physical version of \u201cEnvisioning Technologies\u201d and one panel on \u201cA Wheelchair History of Disability.\u201d<\/p>\n

This time around, we also presented our newest exhibition\u00a0Refugees, Disability and Technology in Transnational Postwar Canada, 1946-1953<\/a>\u00a0on a laptop for an online, interactive experience. We also offered pamphlets and information on new Carleton courses, offered Summer 2018, taught by CUDRG members: Sandy Barron\u2019s HIST 3907B \u201cHistory of Disability\u201d and Beth Robertson\u2019s HIST\u00a03907A \u201cThe Public History of Technology\u201d.<\/p>\n

Dr. Adrian Chan also presented his latest research on a panel entitled, \u201cHealthy Populations.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event brought together a variety of disciplines and we spoke to scholars, students, and interested community members about disability, research, and public history. It was great to participate in this event again!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
