Ashraf Matrawy is a Professor with the School of Information Technology, Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada. He received his B.S. (1993) and M.S. (1998) degrees from Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt, and his Ph.D. (2003) from Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada. He serves on the editorial board of the IEEE Commun. Surveys and Tutorials journal, and served as a technical program committee member of several IEEE conferences (CNS, ICC, Globecom, LCN) and IEEE\/ACM CCGRID.
