CMFE will be hosting a new Carleton-Bank of Canada Macroeconomic Modelling Series. The first in this series will be an Advanced Macro mini-course titled “Occasionally Binding Constraints in Macroeconomics – Theory and Applications”.

Dates: Fridays- January 15th, 22nd, and 29th.

Instructor: Jonathan Swarbrick (Bank of Canada, Senior Economist)

Jonathan Swarbrick is a Senior Economist at the Bank of Canada where he develops the macroeconomic modelling tools used in policy analysis. His research focuses on macroeconomic theory and monetary economics. He conducts model-based policy analysis contributing to monetary policy framework design for Canada. Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Swarbrick was awarded a Ph.D. in Economics, University of Surrey. He has also previous experience working on research projects at the Bank of England and the European Central Bank.
