A CMFE-sponsored course by Professor Badi Baltagi at Carleton University; 31 May – 1 June 2011
The Centre for Monetary and Financial Economics (CMFE) at Carleton University is pleased to offer a two-day course on the analysis of panel data addressed to researchers, professionals, and graduate students. The course will be given by Badi H. Baltagi, Distinguished Professor of Economics at Syracuse University. Professor Baltagi is an internationally renowned expert on the econometrics of panel data whose publications—including well-known textbooks—have contributed to the development of this field. Professor Baltagi has given similar courses in various academic settings and at public institutions worldwide. In addition to formal lectures, Professor Baltagi will supervise a hands-on lab in the afternoon of May 31 using either Stata or EViews. The course will cover static and as well as dynamic models and is timed to run in the period immediately preceding the 45th Annual Conference of the CEA in Ottawa (2–5 June 2011).
The course fee is C$250 before April 30 and C$300 from April 30 to May 15. This fee includes the course textbook: Badi H. Baltagi, Econometric Analysis of Panel Data, 4th Edition, New York: Wiley, 2008.
