But in the medium term, these consequences would dissipate as the economy pivots toward new and growing industries, which would absorb many of the laid-off workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">We should therefore keep that in mind when we consider any future<b>&nbsp;<\/b>government assistance for the auto sector.
