Accessibility and Inclusive Design

This interactive, online workshop will be 1.5 hours long, with 30 minutes for question and answer at the end. A web conferencing access link will be emailed to registered participants prior to the workshop start time.
In this workshop, we will provide an introduction to accessibility and inclusive design with a specific focus on the Carleton community and the resources available for faculty and instructors.
Through case studies and technical demonstrations, participants will learn best practices for creating accessible teaching content and accessible course design. We’ll explore accessibility tools and checkers to demonstrate how to identify, avoid and resolve common accessibility problems. Finally, we’ll end with an interactive Q&A to address the specific accessibility questions of the participants.
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a practical understanding of how to ensure teaching materials are designed for maximum inclusion.
