Carleton University is dedicated to developing courses and programs that meet the teaching and learning needs of diverse learners. Designing an accessibility compliant course is not only the responsibility of the course facilitator, but should be of concern to main stakeholders in web-based course design projects.
You’ll leave this session with information on the elements of accessible web-based courses, as well as hands-on experience with creating web-based courses that provide a positive user experience and meet standards for accessibility, including Web Content Accessibility Standards and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities (AODA).
