Welcome to My Online Classroom – with Amrita Hari

Cost:Free

Welcome to My Online Classroom is a workshop series led by instructors, for instructors, with a specific focus on sharing a wide variety of ideas, strategies, and approaches to teaching online. The sessions will begin with a brief overview from the presenter, and then open for question-and-answer and discussion more broadly. The idea is to create spaces where instructors, regardless of experience, can exchange ideas for teaching online.

This particular session will be led by Amrita Hari, an Associate Professor with the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at the Pauline Jewett Institute. In 2017, Amrita won an EDC Online Course Development Fund grant to design a fully online version of WGST 4003/5003. Meanwhile, this summer, she re-designed two other courses (WGST 2803 and WGST 3803). Having designed online courses in both pre- and post-COVID-19 contexts, Amrita will discuss what has worked for her, what is possible, and what is manageable in online course development in the current moment.

Space is limited. Please register in advance by filling out the form below.
