Welcome to My Online Classroom – with Kathleen Moss

July 21, 2021 at 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Cost:Free

Welcome to My Online Classroom is a workshop series led by instructors, for instructors, with a specific focus on sharing a wide variety of ideas, strategies, and approaches to teaching online. The sessions begin with a brief overview from the presenter, and then open for question-and-answer and discussion more broadly. The idea is to create spaces where instructors, regardless of experience, can exchange ideas for teaching online.

This particular session will be led by Kathleen Moss, an Adjunct Research Professor and Contract Instructor with the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Like many instructors, Kathleen has been teaching online since the pandemic, and she is also teaching an online course this Spring on the new learning management system, Brightspace. Kathleen will be sharing the lessons she learned and the strategies that worked for her in her own online teaching, with a special focus on her experience teaching her Spring course on the new LMS. If you’re relatively new to online teaching and/or preparing to teach your first course on Brightspace, this session will allow you to see how a fellow instructor is currently doing things and to ask the questions that you may have.

Space is limited. Please register in advance by filling out the form below.
