Welcome to My Online Classroom – with Veronic Bezaire

Welcome to My Online Classroom is a workshop series led by instructors, for instructors, with a specific focus on sharing a wide variety of ideas, strategies, and approaches to teaching online. The sessions will begin with a brief overview from the presenter, and then open for question-and-answer and discussion more broadly. The idea is to create spaces where instructors, regardless of experience, can exchange ideas for teaching online.

This particular session will be led by Veronic Bezaire, an Instructor with the Department of Chemistry. Last year, Veronic successfully re-created the strong group dynamics of her face-to-face course on scientific communication by incorporating group tasks that relied on shared documents. This summer, she is hoping to build on that approach and, of course, make it work in the new learning management system, Brightspace.  If you’re looking for strategies for teaching scientific communication online and/or for transitioning existing teaching activities/assignments onto Brightspace, this session will allow you to see how a fellow instructor is managing those things in one of her classes and to ask the questions that you may have.

Space is limited. Please register in advance by filling out the form below.
