Facilitators:Sylvie Babadjide (EDC), Timothy Browne (EDC)
Looking for tips to make your live classes more engaging for students?
Zoom’s interactive features provide considerable opportunities for increasing student participation and reinforcing lesson content in synchronous sessions. In this session we move beyond the basic functionality of Zoom to explore first-hand these collaborative elements and options for participatory pedagogy.
By the end of this session, participants should be able to:
- Identify web-conferencing tools and features that can be used to increase student engagement.
- Conceptualise strategies for online learning.
- Create synchronous classroom activities suited for a web-conferencing environment.
If you are primarily using BigBlueButton, you may be interested in this session since many features are shared by the two platforms.
Prerequisites: This workshop is intended for those who have experience using Zoom and/or have attended the Getting Started with Zoom workshop.
Note: This session is scheduled to run for 1.5 hours. The facilitators have booked 2 hours to accommodate overflow, extended Q&A, and individual consultations.
Space is limited. Please register in advance by filling out the form below.
