With a background in neuroscience, mental health, and science education, his interests are rooted in the intersection of scientific knowledge, education, and social equity. He is particularly passionate about making science accessible and meaningful, while challenging the barriers that shape who feels welcomed, represented, and empowered to participate in STEM.

At the heart of Abdullah’s work is a love for teaching, mentorship, and building meaningful connections with others. He believes education is most impactful beyond the process sharing of knowledge; it is an opportunity to inspire curiosity, foster confidence, and empower individuals to recognize their own abilities. His experiences teaching students from diverse cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds have reinforced his belief that effective education begins with understanding the people we teach, valuing the experiences they bring, and creating spaces where everyone feels a genuine sense of belonging. He is especially drawn to mentorship as a way of supporting others in navigating challenges, discovering their strengths, and pursuing opportunities they may not have previously imagined for themselves.

Through his involvement with EDIT-STEM, Abdullah hopes to contribute to research that moves beyond recognizing challenges, and towards developing meaningful, evidence-based approaches to addressing them. He is guided by the belief that scientific progress is strengthened when diverse perspectives are valued, individuals are empowered to contribute, and education becomes a pathway to opportunity rather than a reflection of existing barriers.

["post-343","cu_people","type-cu_people","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
