Scott is a Research Engineer at the Energy and Emissions Research Laboratory (EERL).\u00a0 He works on developing continuous optical detection techniques to quantify methane emissions from casing gas vents and liquid storage tanks in the oil and gas industry.\u00a0 The techniques combine concentration and velocity measurements to determine emission flux into the atmosphere.\u00a0 Scott graduated from Carleton University with his M.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 2019.\u00a0 His research focused on optical measurements of species correlations downstream of turbulent flames which has implications for current emission rate estimates for oil and gas industry flaring operations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"people-type":[65],"yoast_head":"\nScott Seymour -
