This year AGU<\/a> Annual Meeting took place in San Francisco, CA during the week of 11-15 December 2023.\u00a0Simon Festa-Bianchet<\/a>,\u00a0Alexis Tanner<\/a>,\u00a0Matthew Johnson<\/a>,\u00a0Ellen McCole<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Shona Wilde<\/a> (from left to right) represented Team EERL and joined over 25,000 attendees from 100+ countries. We congratulate them on excellent presentations and engaging poster discussions!<\/p>\n

GC14D-08<\/a>: Prof. Matthew Johnson, EERL’s scientific director, kicked off this year’s conference with his invited talk ‘Using Source-Resolved Aerial Data to Create Measurement-Based Methane Inventories and Quantify Emission Intensities’, co-authored with Drs. Bradley Conrad and David Tyner (EERL)<\/p>\n

A44D<\/a> and A51L<\/a>: Prof. Johnson also convened a poster session, presentations and discussion on ‘Emissions and Air Quality Impacts of Atmospheric Pollutants from Oil, Gas, and Coal Operations’ ;<\/p>\n

A44D-01<\/a>: Dr. Simon Festa-Bianchet, Postdoctoral researcher, presented his work on ‘In-Situ Measurements of Methane Emissions in Combustion Exhausts at Oil and Gas Facilities’ ;<\/p>\n

A51L-2096<\/a>: Ellen McCole, MSc candidate, presented her techno-economic analysis of abatement opportunities for measured-sources of oil and gas sector methane emissions in Saskatchewan ;<\/p>\n

A51L-2104<\/a>: Alexis Tanner, PhD candidate, presented a poster featuring her study of ‘Emission Rates of Methane, Soot, and NOx from Gas Flares Subjected to Crosswind’ ;<\/p>\n
