Over the past year, BBC Eye Investigations has collected video diaries documenting the lives of people who chose to stay in Kharkiv, capturing deeply personal moments of those living through the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Albina Kovalyova<\/strong>: Albina Kovalyova is an award-nominated independent documentary producer and director specializing in compelling human stories from Ukraine, Russia, and the former Soviet Union. Since the start of Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she has focused on character-led films about the war. She directed and produced&nbsp;<em>Occupied<\/em>&nbsp;for BBC Eye Investigations, a first-hand account of a family facing Russian occupation in Kherson, Ukraine.&nbsp;<em>Kharkiv War
