Carleton’s Faculty of Engineering and Design is at the forefront of drone (Uninhabited Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)) research in Canada. The UAV research group consists of faculty, engineering consultants, undergraduate and graduate students developing two major UAV platforms. To learn more, visit the UAV research group website.
With all the rules and regulations, it can be difficult to navigate the logistical side of this type of research. For this reason, Environmental Health & Safety in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and Design, is hosting a Drone Safety Workshop on January 26th. This workshop will cover the legal implications as well as safety considerations of working with UAVs. It is highly recommended that anyone planning to build or purchase UAVs for teaching or research purposes attend this session.
Please register here. Please note that while we encourage registration from all Ontario universities and colleges, priority will be given to members of the Carleton community.
