Every year in October, we celebrate Fire Prevention Week to bring awareness to the importance of fire safety. A particular theme is chosen by the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) each year.

2017 Events at Carleton
The Office of Environmental Health & Safety hosted a Fire Safety display in Residence Commons on October 11th and 12th featuring Ottawa Fire Services! Stop by and try your hand at virtual fire fighting with their fire simulation system!

“Spot the Fire Hazard” with the Office of Environmental Health & Safety for a chance to win! Your task is to identify as many fire hazards as you can in the picture below to be entered into a prize draw. Each fire hazard correctly identified will earn you 1 ballot for the draw taking place on Monday October 16th.
