Who should complete this Fire Safety training?

Although not mandatory, we encourage everyone at Carleton to complete this course!

Fire Safety Wardens receive a hands-on evacuation briefing with the Fire Prevention Office in addition to completing this training. If you are interested in becoming a Fire Safety Warden, contact Tim Golding.

What is covered?

The online Fire Safety Training module provides an overview of the key components of the Fire Safety Plan, the Role of Fire Safety Wardens, Fire Safety in Residence, and the use of Fire Protection Equipment in the event of an evacuation.

How do I access this training course?

The Fire Safety Awareness training is available online through CuLearn.

Carleton employees should automatically be enrolled in the course and have it visible on their CuLearn dashboard under the Environmental Health & Safety tab.

Students and some employees will need to self-enroll in the course by following the instructions below:

  1. Go to the Fire Safety Awareness Course Homepage
    • Please note that if you are self-enrolling, you MUST follow the above link.
  2. Sign in using your MC1 credentials
  3. When prompted for an enrollment key, enter stay safe
