{"id":434,"date":"2020-03-30T11:29:55","date_gmt":"2020-03-30T15:29:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/emogeolab\/?p=434"},"modified":"2020-03-31T14:24:13","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T18:24:13","slug":"day-15-afternoon-sun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/emogeolab\/2020\/day-15-afternoon-sun\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 15: Afternoon Sun"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Michelle Lesley Annett<\/p>\n<p>Water and lemon<br \/>\nsoothe my throat<br \/>\nwhile the sun beams down, keeping me warm.<\/p>\n<p>All is quiet,<br \/>\nall is still,<br \/>\nyet the birds continue to sing their songs.<\/p>\n<p>Winter has come<br \/>\n&amp; now gone away.<br \/>\nWe get a glimmer of spring,<br \/>\nas it gets warmer each day.<\/p>\n<p>This spring is unlike any other I\u2019ve experienced before&#8211;<br \/>\nno play dates, no swing sets, not much interaction outdoors.<\/p>\n<p>We stay apart<br \/>\nas much as we can<br \/>\nand avoid each others embrace.<br \/>\nWe take every precaution<br \/>\nwhen we encounter one another face to face.<\/p>\n<p>You in your spot and me in mine,<br \/>\ndistance keeps us apart,<br \/>\nbut one day soon our routines will coincide.<\/p>\n<p>I inhale deeply before returning inside,<br \/>\nnever will I take for granted<br \/>\nthe people working to keep so many alive<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Michelle Lesley Annett Water and lemon soothe my throat while the sun beams down, keeping me warm.
