A Carleton International Internship is an opportunity for our students to receive on the job experience, while being mentored in a learning environment and contributing to the organization’s projects and missions.

What can be expected from an internship with a Carleton student?

  • Usually during the summer term, and doesn’t interfere with course work to ensure students can still graduate on time
  • Most international internships are unpaid, however many organizations offer a stipend or discounted housing options in order to make the experience more affordable for the student
  • Students are always assigned a supervisor in the workplace that can help mentor and train, while also evaluating and managing the student intern’s activities and learning objectives
  • Students will also have academic supervisor to ensure the students are adhering to their set learning objectives and responsibilities, as well as to manage any additional assignments or papers relating to their internship experience

Why hire a Carleton intern?
