Aerospace (CCAA) is one of the partners selected by the Federal Government to deliver the Student Work-Integrated Learning Program (SWILP).&nbsp; Working with employers and PSE institutions in the aviation and aerospace sector CCAA will administer wage subsidies to hire co-op students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Available funding<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employers may be eligible to receive a wage subsidy of 50% (up to $5000) to hire a student and may be eligible to receive 70% (up to $7000) if they hire under-represented groups including women in STEM, Indigenous students, persons with disabilities, recent immigrants and first year students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ontario employers may also be eligible for a tax credit of up to $3000 for the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"file:\/\/ccsnas01\/SACD$\/CO-OP%20Education\/Business%20Development%20Coordinators\/SWILP\/Co-operative%20Education%20Tax%20Credit\">Co-operative Education Tax Credit<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employers receiving other federal funding to hire the student will not be eligible to also receive SWILP funding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligible Employers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employers involved in the aero and aviation Industry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus on occupations in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligible students<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full-time students currently registered in a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) or business program at a Canadian post-secondary education (PSE) institution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or hold refugee status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employers contact CCAA directly to apply for the funding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employers are welcome to post their co-op positions on Carleton University\u2019s<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mycareer.carleton.ca\/home.htm\">CUHire<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>for students in eligible programs to apply.\u00a0 (Note:\u00a0 Approval of the wage subsidy must be secured before an offer is made to the student, if the position is dependent upon receipt of the subsidy).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contacts:<\/strong><br>\nCCAA: Theresa Davis-Woodhouse, Director of Project Management tdaviswoodhouse@avaerocouncil.ca 613-727-8272 x247<br>\nCarleton Co-operative Education:&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/co-op\/contact\/business-development\/\">Business Development Team&nbsp;<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>More information:<\/strong><br>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.avaerocouncil.ca\/en\/ccaa-and-student-work-integrated-learning-program\">CCAA and the Student Work-Integrated Learning Program<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview:&nbsp;The Canadian Council for Aviation &amp;
