Description

In this Candid Conversation (an informal mentorship event), you will hear from a representative at Leonardo DRS about their experience going from university into the workforce and how they’ve set her career up for success. This is a small group setting, with a maximum of eight women students, where back and forth conversation is strongly encouraged.

Who is this for? Women students in a Carleton University Bachelor, Master’s or Doctoral program, of: engineering, IT, applied science, computer science, mathematics, or physics. Current Carleton University women students interested in engineering and IT.

This will be run as a Zoom meeting, where attendees will have the ability to turn their camera and microphone on and type in the chat.

Roxanna Kemp, Junior Mechanical Engineer

Roxanna Kemp is a problem solver, designer, learner, and all-around team member. She has experience taking whiteboard concepts through a complete engineering lifecycle, including modeling, drawings, prototypes, testing, and production. Expert PTC Creo modeler using top-down modeling techniques and skilled in FEA analysis of electromechanical enclosures. Roxanna is interested in process improvements and contributing to a collaborative team atmosphere.
