In this Industry Talk, you will hear from Marc Campbell (Senior Vice-President), Lise Arnett (Vice President Consulting Services), Katherine Comunale (Director of Business Operations) about CGI‘s equity, diversity and inclusion commitments. Whether you’re a first year student, graduating this spring, or just starting your career, learning about a potential future employer’s equity, diversity, and inclusion commitments to its employees is a valuable opportunity and will help you make an informed decision about your career.

Who is this for? Women students in a Carleton University Bachelor, Master’s or Doctoral program, of: engineering, IT, applied science, computer science, mathematics, or physics. Current Carleton University women students interested in engineering and IT. Also, Carleton University alumnae who have graduated from a STEM program in the past three years.

Speakers

Marc Campbell, Senior Vice-President

As Senior Vice-President, Marc has overall accountability for all aspects of CGI’s business operations in the National Capital Region (NCR).   Marc leads CGI Canada’s Public Sector Council, with a focus on helping make digital government real across all levels of Government in Canada.  Marc also leads CGI’s Canada Cybersecurity Centre and serves as co-chair of CGI’s Global Cybersecurity Council, helping enterprises identify security risks, build secure outcomes, and operate with confidence.  Marc has over twenty-five years of Information Technology experience across multiple industries, including Government, Banking, Insurance and Retail Distribution.


 

Lise Arnett, Vice President Consulting Services

Lise Arnett is Vice President Consulting Services for CGI and leads the Financial Regulatory sector of accounts in the National Capital Region. She is a Financial Services expert with more than 40 years in the industry.  Lise assists senior executives with defining key strategies that deliver the organization’s business objectives. She is an expert in enterprise-level delivery and change management and assists clients with design, initiation and execution of large-scale transformations.


 

Katherine Comunale, Director of Business Operations

Katherine Comunale (affectionately known as “KC”) is Director of Business Operations at CGI for the National Capital Region business unit. A member of the Ottawa-Gatineau Women of CGI Canada affinity group, KC began her career studying business information systems, specializing in telco systems development and R&D. She then moved into Tier 1 services (IT outsourcing), testing and product management, followed by IT security for over 10 years. From start-ups to larger firms, she is proud to have spent most of her career for Canadian companies, most notably CGI for the past 18 years!
