Diversity in Engineering & Technology Networking Evening

January 23, 2018 at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Location:Richcraft Hall
Cost:Free

As part of an exciting week of career-related programming, Co-op and Career Services and our presenting sponsor, Ericsson, are pleased to host a networking evening celebrating Diversity in Engineering and Technology focusing on Women in Engineering and IT.

This event will allow students and new graduates from underrepresented groups to meet and mingle with employers from engineering and IT-related firms who are dedicated to creating a diverse workforce. Meet representatives from a range of engineering and IT firms and hear about their exciting plans for the future and their commitment to inclusion and diversity.  This event is a professional, yet casual opportunity to learn about opportunities in a comfortable on-campus setting – a fantastic opportunity for students in first year to graduate studies.

Hear from HW Developer Sashieka Seneviratne on what it is really like to be a woman ‘in tech’ and learn more about Ericsson’s technologies and the future of 5G!

Don’t forget to bring your resumes and/or networking cards!

Thank you to our Supporting Sponsors, Amdocs and SNC Lavalin!

The list of participating employers will be updated here as we approach the event.  Current employers include:

– Ericsson
– Amdocs
– SNC Lavalin
– General Dynamics Mission Systems
– Shared Services Canada
– DRS Technologies
– Kinaxis
– Pythian
– Electricity Human Resources Canada
– Gastops
– Deloitte (Technical Consulting)
– Government of Canada, PWGSC (Engineering Assets)

…and more registering every day.  This list will continue to be updated as we approach the event!

This event is particularly relevant for students and new graduates under-represented in engineering and technological fields, such as women in engineering and IT; however, any co-op students or students approaching graduation are welcome to attend.  Food and beverages will be provided.
