Lecture Synopsis: The Nothern Nomad is a net-zero energy tiny home intended for Ottawa’s cold climate. The project was designed and constructed by Carleton Architecture and Engineering students. With a focus on sustainability, the project has several innovative features such as building integrated solar panels, electrical car battery integration, and atmospheric water harvesting. Join project supervisor Professor Scott Bucking as he tells the story about how the project came to be and what comes next.
