Join us on Thursday, November 6 from 6\u20138 p.m.<\/strong> for the Faculty of Engineering and Design\u2019s first-ever Resume Roast<\/strong> \u2014 an interactive event where engineering students will learn what really stands out to prospective employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hear from industry experts from three companies, ask questions in a dedicated Q&A time and watch a live resume roast (student participant already confirmed) \u2014 all to help you put what you’ve learned into your resume. Networking time will be included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enjoy free pizza and pop, and get career-ready! Wear something you feel comfortable networking in with classmates and industry professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n Thusha Agampodi, Director of Engineering, Fullscript\n <\/h2>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n \n\n

Thusha Agampodi is Director of Engineering at Fullscript <\/a>and a Carleton University Engineering alumna from the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has over two decades of technical and leadership experience, building and leading high-performing teams in Ottawa and around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n\n

\n Mathew Baranowski, District Manager, PCL Construction\n <\/h2>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n \n\n

Mathew Baranowski earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Business Administration from the University of Manitoba. Having joined PCL Construction<\/a> as a field coordinator in 2010, he advanced to the role of district manager in the growing Ottawa district, where he now leads the Operations, Safety and Estimating teams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mat is also closely involved with the district\u2019s community involvement and he supports students who are beginning to build their careers in the fast-paced construction industry.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n\n

\n Niall McCallum, System Engineer, MANNARINO\n <\/h2>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n \n\n

Niall McCallum is a Systems Engineer specializing in the design, certification, and operation of commercial Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS). He graduated from Carleton University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering, and a Master of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n\n

\n Emcee: Poppy Guilbeault, VP, Advocacy, CSES\n <\/h2>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n \n\n

Poppy Guilbeault is a third year aerospace engineering stream D: space systems design student taking a minor in physics. Poppy is currently the Vice President of Advocacy of the Carleton Engineering Society, and a student ambassador for the Faculty of Engineering and Design.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n\n

Who is this event for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This employability workshop is specific to crafting engineering-specific resumes within multiple industries. The event is open to all undergraduate and graduate<\/strong> students who are enrolled in the engineering and design programs. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
