Carleton University’s Faculty of Engineering and Design has been ranked in the top 10 engineering programs in Canada and top 9 for research reputation, according to the 2025 Maclean\u2019s Rankings.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n

Offering a range of bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s, and postdoctoral degrees in engineering, information technology, industrial design, and architecture, Carleton stands out for its hands-on education. As one of the first Canadian universities to offer team-based capstone projects, it bridges the gap between university and the workforce. Located in Canada\u2019s capital, Carleton is uniquely positioned to form partnerships with government bodies and global tech firms in Kanata North, Canada\u2019s largest tech park.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carleton rose to No. 4 in Canada (No. 2 in Ontario) in the comprehensive category after Simon Fraser University, the University of Victoria and the University of Waterloo. Maclean\u2019s recognizes comprehensive universities as those with a significant amount of research activity and a wide range of programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including professional degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student support continues to be recognized as Carleton secured top 5 rankings in the categories of Scholarships and Bursaries as well as Student Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
