Students can also use the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/engineering-design\/current-students\/undergrad-academic-support\/engineering-request-form\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Timetable Assistant within the EOR system<\/a> to look up program requirements by year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Note:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It\u2019s important to stay on-track with the terms in which courses are scheduled for in your program map.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are already off-track from your program map, then it is recommended that you discuss your course plan with your <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/engineering-design\/current-students\/undergrad-academic-support\/undergraduate-advisors\/\">academic advisor<\/a> at least 2-3 weeks BEFORE you register. Taking courses out of sequence will cause scheduling issues and may delay your graduation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Verify that you meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/courses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">prerequisites<\/a> for all the courses you plan to register for. Some courses have year status prerequisites in addition to course prerequisites with minimum grade requirements. More information about prerequisites is available <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/engineering-design\/current-students\/undergrad-academic-support\/understandingprereq\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> Once you have a list of courses you\u2019d like to add to your timetable, usually 4-6 per term, start by doing a <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/registration\/registration-steps\/step-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Class Search in Carleton Central<\/a> for your core courses to identify which SECTIONS ARE RESERVED for your program\/year level. This information is included in the \u201cSection Information\u201d listed under each course section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> Once you have the sections for engineering courses identified, add these to the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/engineering-design\/current-students\/undergrad-academic-support\/engineering-request-form\/\">Engineering Scheduler Tool<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 6:<\/strong> Once your core courses are in the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/engineering-design\/current-students\/undergrad-academic-support\/engineering-request-form\/\">Engineering Scheduler Tool<\/a>, add in mathematics, science, and elective courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Note:<\/span> if you cannot create any conflict-free timetables (this may happen if you\u2019re off-track from your program map) please double-check that the engineering core courses you\u2019ve included in your schedule are actually the ones reserved for your program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 7:<\/strong> If you need to add an elective, use the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/engineering-design\/current-students\/undergrad-academic-support\/electives-for-beng-programs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">approved lists<\/a> to identify one that will fit in your schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 8:<\/strong> Record the CRNs for all courses included in your Scheduler Tool draft timetable. You will need one list of the 5-digit \u201ccourse registration numbers\u201d, aka CRNs, for each term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Note:<\/span> each lecture and lab will have its own CRN, so one engineering course usually has 2 CRNs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 9:<\/strong> Add courses to your worksheet via the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/registration\/registration-steps\/step-2\/#s4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Build Your Timetable\/Registration<\/a> link in Carleton Central<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can look up each of these courses via the Class Search page, or select the \u2018View Worksheet\u2019 button at the bottom of the Search page and enter the CRNs into the empty textboxes and select \u2018Add Course(s)\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Note:<\/span> review any registration warnings that populate when you add courses to your worksheets.
