<\/a>The Academic Continuation Evaluation (ACE) is the end-of-term assessment of a student\u2019s status in their degree. The first evaluation is made once 5.5 or more credits have been completed<\/em>* at Carleton University and\/or through the University of Ottawa Exchange, and all final grades in a specific term are available. Subsequent evaluations occur at the end of each term provided a course has been completed<\/em>*.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Note: A completed course is any course registration, including repeated courses, that results in a grade or notation other than<\/em> WDN, IP, CTN, or AUD. Failed (F\/UNS\/NR) grades count as a completed course for ACE credit calculations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your ACE at the start of the term was Eligible to Continue<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

and your overall CGPA is greater than or equal to 5.00<\/td>Eligible to Continue<\/td><\/tr>
and your overall CGPA is between 1.00 and 4.99<\/td>Academic Warning<\/td><\/tr>
and your overall CGPA is less than 1.00<\/td>Dismissed from Program<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

If your ACE at the start of the term was Academic Warning<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
CGPA<\/th>Expected ACE Decision<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
and your overall CGPA is greater than or equal to 5.00<\/td>Eligible to Continue<\/td><\/tr>
and your overall CGPA is between 1.00 and 4.99 and your *term GPA is greater than or equal to 5.00<\/td>Academic Warning<\/td><\/tr>
and your overall CGPA is between 1.00 and 4.99 and *term GPA is less than 5.0.<\/td>Continue in Alternate<\/td><\/tr>
