It offers technical engineering courses along with a number of disciplines aimed at the development of a variety of career-ready skills. It is tailored towards accelerating the transition into Canada\u2019s engineering job market upon graduation and is open to students from all engineering backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n engineering institutions around the world with a high-quality educational experience that mixes discipline-specific technical courses on advanced applied topics related to their engineering class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accelerated Pathway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Engineering Practice students looking to accelerate their program (to complete it in three terms instead of four) have the opportunity to register for more than three courses after their first term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you plan to do so, you must ensure to meet the necessary requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You have completed at least one term of study<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have completed three courses (1.5 credits) in your most recent term<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have at least B+ in your EGEN course(s) and an A- in your ECMP course(s)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your CGPA is at least 9.0 (equivalent to one B+ and two A-)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You maintained continuous registration (without academic breaks in Fall and Winter)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have obtained the program\u2019s permission (please reach out to <a href=\"mailto:EP_GradAdmin@cunet.carleton.ca\">EP_GradAdmin@cunet.carleton.ca<\/a> for more Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Alternatively, students have the option to enroll in Summer term courses when offered by the program. By doing so, students can complete their program of study four months earlier. Regardless of their choice, students will resume\/continue their full-time studies in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"egen-5099-directed-studies\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">EGEN 5099 Directed Studies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Directed Studies course (EGEN 5099) allows EP students to pursue a specialized topic under the supervision of a full\u2011time faculty member. Students are responsible for securing a supervisor and submitting the required approval form and documentation in advance of the term.
