and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ultrasonic medical imaging\/measurement systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Advanced technologies being developed for diagnostics and treatment include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ultrasonic medical imaging and diagnosis as well as applications in telesurgery and telemedicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>signal processing and compression of medical data in noisy environments;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>artificial intelligence systems for estimating clinical outcomes in neonatal intensive care and other medical situations;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>intelligent sensor systems for remote monitoring;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>myoelectric control of upper arm prostheses, prediction of gene regulation and protein structure and function through bioinformatics;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>diagnostic aid tool for rheumatoid arthritis;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>imaging of regional lung function using electrical impedance tomography;
