The Engineering Practicum Pathway is an educational model that integrates practical work experience into academic studies. It allows students to gain hands-on, paid work experience in their engineering field while earning academic credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This pathway helps students improve their employability by enhancing career-ready and engineering skills, and expanding their professional networks. It offers a valuable chance to apply classroom knowledge to real-world workplace situations, thereby building meaningful practical experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The practicum is incorporated into the graduate Engineering Practice program and must be completed on a full-time basis over one or two terms. Participating students earn academic credits without extending their overall program duration or exceeding the designated time limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n Practicum Pathway Structure\n <\/h2>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n \n\n

Students complete two academic study terms prior to starting their practicum work term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The practicum includes one or two work term(s), during which students must be enrolled in one of the two courses: EWEX 5001 <\/a>or EWEX 5002<\/a>. Each work term lasts four months and is full-time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students are required to submit a reflective report and receive an evaluation from their placement supervisor for each term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After completing the final work term, students must enrol in full-time academic courses for the subsequent term.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n\n
