\n Guaranteed Admission into a Master’s Program\n <\/h1>\n \n <\/header>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n \n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Carleton Engineering and Information Technology (IMD, NET) undergraduate students who maintain a high GPA<\/strong> may be eligible for guaranteed admission into select Master’s programs<\/strong>. Early in the winter term, eligible students will be contacted by the Faculty of Engineering and Design (FED) through their CMAIL account with information about this offer, and a list of graduate programs for which they are eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon receiving their notice of eligibility, students interested in pursuing next steps must submit an application using the Carleton 360 application process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below is a list of eligible graduate programs and the GPA requirement to qualify for acceptance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Presently, the guaranteed admissions offer does not apply<\/strong> to Master of Engineering (MEng) programs in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, however MASc programs are eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Master’s Students may be eligible for funding and scholarships, especially those applying for thesis-based degrees. This funding may include Teaching Assistantships (TAs), scholarships, and Research Assistantships (RAs). RAs are at the discretion of the faculty member who supervises your research in a thesis-based degree. All other funding decisions are made at the departmental\/school level. All applicants are automatically considered for funding and decisions are based on academic merit<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accelerated Pathway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Through Accelerated Pathways<\/a>, it’s possible to complete a Master’s program in less time. Undergraduate students with a high GPA can replace up to 2 of their fourth-year electives with graduate-level courses which can be double-counted towards their Master’s program. This will reduce the number of courses required to complete your Master’s program and may reduce your total tuition costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
