Please review these important notes before submitting a COPE request:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>COPE request approvals are <em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\">never guaranteed<\/em>; consideration is given to requests that meet minimum requirements, subject to space availability in the requested program.&nbsp;Updates to these requirements may be made throughout the academic year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We strongly suggest running a <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/academicadvising\/what-if-audit\/\">\u201cwhat-if\u201d audit<\/a> in your requested program to check (i) year standing, (ii) Overall CGPA, and (iii) Courses in Excess at the bottom of the audit.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When running a what-if audit for a request being submitted May 2026 \u2013 April 1, 2027 please use 202630 (catalog year) &#8211; this will ensure that you are viewing the correct version of a new program audit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These minimum requirements apply only to students<em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\"> already enrolled<\/em> in a Bachelor of Engineering program.
