The Department of English Language and Literature would like to congratulate Amal El-Mohtar, a doctoral candidate in our department, for winning three literary awards for her This Is How You Lose the Time War. Co-authored with Max Gladstone, the novella has won the 2019 Nebula Award for Best Novella, the British Science Fiction Award for Best Shorter Fiction and the Locus Award for Best Novella.
