Thank you to all of the Faculty and staff who have worked to make the English department feel welcoming, a place in which students can openly share their ideas and analysis knowing that their professors encourage, respect, and value their work.
Even in the midst of change and uncertainty, you have taken the time to celebrate and congratulate your students, and to reflect on the time we spent together. As much as you have enjoyed your time with us, we have benefited from and soaked in the knowledge and wisdom you have provided. We have laughed over the little known facts, gained new appreciation for authors and witnesses of history, and approached work together critically to better understands its impact on the world. We take with us into the future the lessons and encouragement you have invested in us.
