DESCRIPTION:Let’s give a warm Carleton welcome to multi-awarded poet Karen Solie! Join us for a performance of her work followed by a Q&amp;A on Monday, March 30th, in Dunton Tower Room 2017, from 2:30-4pm.



Karen Solie was born in Moose Jaw and grew up in rural southwest Saskatchewan. She is the author of six collections of poetry. Her most recent, Wellwater, won the Forward Prize for Best Collection, the Governor General&#039;s Award for Poetry, the T.S. Eliot Prize, and was shortlisted for the PEN Heaney Prize. She teaches half-time for the University of St Andrews in Scotland, and is this year&#039;s Shaftesbury Creative Writer-in-Residence for Victoria College at the University of Toronto.
