At Carleton he teaches courses on Electronic Poetry (ENGL 4155A \/ ENGL 5900S) and Digital Humanities: Theory and Method (ENGL 2401A\/ DIGH 2002), as well as a course on The Book in the Digital Age (ENGL 3401 \/ DIGH 3001).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chris earned his BA, MA and PhD (Magna cum Laude) in Contemporary American Literature and holds a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science. He taught for eleven years at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures in Bucharest (Romania) a wide range of courses in contemporary American literature and studies. In 2010-2011, he carried out a research project on \u201cPoetries and Communities\u201d at San Diego State University (USA) as a Senior Fulbright Fellow. He lectured in the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, and Romania. In 2012-2013, he was a Visiting Professor of American Literature at Universit\u00e9 Paris X (France).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tanasescu is also an internationally awarded poet and performer (aka <a href=\"http:\/\/crowd-literature.eu\/one-is-a-crowd-margento\/\">MARGENTO<\/a>) employing digital technologies, intermedia, and cross-artform approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2013 he has been an Adjunct Professor in the University of Ottawa\u2019s Department of Computer Science, working as a principal investigator through a 2-year SSHRC grant on a project titled Poetry Computational Graphs (<a href=\"http:\/\/artsites.uottawa.ca\/margento\/en\/the-graph-poem\/\">The Graph Poem Initiative<\/a>). He is also involved in a 3-year NSERC Strategic Grant titled \u201cInformation and Communications Technologies \/ From Data to Knowledge to Action\u201d (principal investigator: prof.
