My graduate work on Anishinaabe constitutionalism has earned a SSHRC Talent Award, a Trudeau Foundation Scholarship, a Vanier Canada Scholarship and a Fulbright Canada Scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The craft of writing and the ability to read both critically and analytically have been vital to achieving these recognitions and are essential in my daily work, whether I\u2019m reviewing a paper, sharing a story \u200b in public\u200b, developing a lecture, arguing on a panel, or drafting a funding proposal.&nbsp; I have much gratitude for Carleton\u200b. &nbsp;My years there were invaluable \u200bin&nbsp;develop\u200bing \u200bthe thinking, writing, and reading skills that make success in these activities possible. &nbsp;\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aaron recently returned to Ottawa to receive the prestigious SSHRC (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council) Talent Award.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":12593,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"cu_people_first_name":"Aaron","cu_people_last_name":"Mills","cu_people_initials":"","footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"cu_people_type":[26],"cu_people_expertise":[],"class_list":["post-12586","cu_people","type-cu_people","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","cu_people_type-alumni"],"acf":{"cu_people_job_title":"Assistant Professor and Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Constitutionalism and Philosophy at McGill University, Faculty of Law","cu_people_degree":"BA Honours English and Philosophy (Carleton, 2005); J.D.
