Today we hosted a panel at Adaptation Canada 2016, called “What Constitutes Extreme Weather? Considerations and Approaches for Defining Extreme Weather at Local Scales to Support Adaptive Planning in Agricultural Landscapes.” \u00a0Our aim was to share experiences and stimulate discussion of strengths and weaknesses in different approaches to studying both existing weather data and climate change scenarios, in order to assess potential adaptation options. \u00a0The panel first presented introductory perspectives from\u00a0a range of perspectives and experiences (including this project), and this lead to a very useful and varied discussion with colleagues in the session room. \u00a0Presentations are going to be posted to the Adaptation Canada website soon, and links will be added here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
