She is the director of the Mary Ann Shadd Cary Centre for Journalism and Belonging, a research centre which advocates, supports and participates in inclusive and belonging-focused journalism in Canada. The Centre\u2019s first major project is Reporting in Black Communities, the first guidebook in Canada to combine perspectives from Black news consumers, Black journalists and non-Black journalists and leaders to equip journalists, journalism educators and journalism students with resources to understand and comprehensively cover Black communities with accuracy, dignity and equity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nana aba is also the co-founder of Media Girlfriends, a production company led by journalists of colour.
