He has been active in the field for 25+ years and has contributed in a wide research domain ranging from foundational mathematical computing and networking to communication system characterization, modelling and measurements integrating ideas from a broad spectrum of diverse fields. In his earlier research Professor Lambadaris has produced several outstanding contributions in the areas of network traffic modeling (in particular self-similar network traffic analysis) and control of Quality of Service (QoS) for the next generation Internet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently he has been active in the areas of fair multi-resource allocation in cloud data centers, optimal placement of Virtualized Network Functions (VNF) in Software Defined Networks (SDN), network slicing, wireless edge computing, Internet of Things (IoT) and practical measurements for co-existence studies and indoor localization for emerging indoor wireless systems. He\u00a0has collaborated extensively with the high-tech industry and supervised over 70 graduate students.
