The ESP/IESP Year End Conference will feature:

• A keynote from a fantastic Carleton Instructor: Dr. Kim Hellemans from the Department of Neuroscience
• A terrific student panel who can offer advice on the tips and tricks for a successful transition from ESP/IESP to a degree
• A super inspiring Indigenous speaker, Theland Kicknosway
• A series of mini talks on subjects like finding a summer job, how to choose classes next year, social opportunities at Carleton and more!
• And trivia with prizes

Besides OSAP, there are a few additional financial supports available to students who are enrolled in summer courses this year.

1. Bursary: Students who are receiving government financial aid (OSAP or out of province funding, etc) for the summer term can apply for a bursary/grant. The application opens May 6 in Carleton Central and the deadline to apply is July 9th. Here are instructions on “how to apply” (simply select “Summer 2021 instead of “Fall/Winter”).
2. UPASS request: This summer, the UPASS will be included with summer fees (if enrolled in 1.0 credit or more). If you don’t need it, opt-out to cancel the fee.

The application to change a grade to SAT is now available here. UNSAT grades do not require an application; all F grades will be automatically converted to UNSAT on your transcript.

April 25 was the Summer term payment deadline. Click here for fee payment information. Late payment charges and late registration charges apply to the student account on or after this date.

OSAP entitlements must be available by April 25 in order to be eligible for the OSAP deferral (which defers your payment deadline to May 13th). Calculate Amount to Pay in Carleton Central will let you know if you have been granted this deferral. 

• Paying by OSAP? Watch your email for instructions on how to pay.
• Online banking: You can pay through online banking by setting up Carleton University as a bill and using your student number as your account.

Is there a fellow student who helped you get through the year? Nominate them for our Spirit Award. They will receive $2500-$3000 for their Fall/Winter 2020/2021 studies. Deadline: April 30th.
