A bursary is a financial award made based on financial need. They are more like a scholarship than a loan because bursaries (like scholarships) do not have to be repaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The application deadline for ESP entrance bursaries is <strong>September 7th.<\/strong>\u00a0The bursaries below range in value from\u00a0<strong>$1000 <\/strong>to<strong> $3600.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please note: While the terms of the ESP entrance bursaries are quite specific, there are other bursaries available to all students that have much broader terms. The general <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/awards\/bursaries\/returning\/\">Carleton bursary application<\/a> will open in September and you\u2019ll have till October 31<sup>st<\/sup> to apply. Those bursaries are awarded in December\/January.
