BEAR Network Workshop, June 18th – June 22nd, 2018<\/h2>\n

Joan DeBardeleben has joined the Jean Monnet\u00a0 BEAR Network (http:\/\/www.bearnetwork.ca\/<\/a>). She has participated in several research seminars and will be teaching a session at the BEAR Network Summer workshop being held from June 18-22, 2018.\u00a0 The BEAR (Between the EU and Russia) network\u2019s key objective is to promote a better understanding of how the EU and Russia influence and inspire minority politics, integration efforts, and societal contestation on the EU\u2019s eastern borders. The network brings together 25 scholars from 11 universities in six countries to explore attempts to mobilize, influence, protect, and claim regional minority groups on the EU\u2019s eastern borders, as well as how societal actors in the region draw upon, react to, and engage with the overlapping influences of the EU and Russia.<\/p>\n
